Here's what parents are saying about Calvary Lutheran:
A challenging curriculum taught by quality teachers
“After visiting many of the private schools in the KC area, we chose Calvary for our daughter because we felt she would get the best education here. We wanted a challenging curriculum, taught by quality teachers, with an emphasis in technology (a computer on every desk in sixth grade was one of the deciding factors). We were also impressed with the principal, Bruce Kletke, from the start. Mr. Kletke was willing to work with us by allowing Danielle to continue in our district’s gifted program one day a week. Calvary has allowed Danielle to advance in grade level in her stronger subjects, and although a strings orchestra does not yet exist, Danielle is encouraged to play her violin at musical programs. But the biggest factor was the spirit we felt at Calvary. Calvary’s mission statement says it all — a Christ-centered environment.” ~ Kim Albritton
Strength, knowledge, and nurturing
“We chose Calvary for our two children because of the ‘local’ neighborhood school atmosphere and community, and for the optimum blend of strength, knowledge and nurturing the teachers at the school possess. They have control over their classes, but also know how to have fun with the kids.” ~ Sam Kane
Calvary was the natural choice
“Our son started in Calvary’s Early Education Center when he was five months old. We had a very positive experience there, so when it came time to select an elementary school for him, Calvary was the natural choice. The faith element of our son’s education was so important to us as well. Tears came to my eyes when, before his first parent/teacher conference in kindergarten, we opened with prayer — something that could never happen in a public school. Calvary provides a loving, caring environment, a wonderful staff and a strong education.” ~ Sally Gustafson
Strong instruction in academics and Christian principles
“The cost of this private Christian school is very reasonable, especially when you compare the level of education your child receives. Calvary students test very well compared to students in other private and public schools. Our teachers provide strong instruction in academics and Christian principles with just the right balance. The school also provides a good mix of extra-curricular activities, including music, arts, sports, and academics. Parent involvement is a significant addition to the close-knit environment. If you are looking for a small classroom setting your child can grow in academically and spiritually, you need look no further than Calvary Lutheran Schools!” ~ Quinetta Fristoe
Calvary is like a second family
“My daughter has been at Calvary since she was three months old. Calvary is like her second family. I see her growing each year, not only as a student, but also as a caring young girl. She is being taught what she needs to know academically, as well as how to be a successful and responsible person.” ~ Pamela Murphy
