Read why Calvary families love our school!

“Calvary has been an amazing experience for my two girls. The staff is excellent. They really take the time to build essential developmental skills and provide consistent communication about what they learn and experience throughout the day. Our family is truly blessed to have found a place like Calvary.”

— Heather Larkin, Kansas City

“The love of Christ is the first thing I noticed when our oldest daughter visited the kindergarten room. It is shared by everyone from the teachers to the children. She walked into a big welcoming hug and I melted. Our children have attended Calvary for over 12 years. I feel that they receive a quality, Christ-centered education and are well prepared for high school.”

— Shelby Burris, Kansas City

“I chose Calvary because I wanted a nurturing environment for my child and a place where I knew each and every parent was investing in their children’s future like I was. I am glad that I chose Calvary for my daughter because you can feel the caring, encouragement, and support from the moment you walk in. All the teachers, staff, and volunteers really make the children and parents feel at home and welcomed.”

— Jennifer Shepherd, Kansas City

“As parents, our hope for our children was that they would enjoy a Christ-centered education. We found that and so much more at Calvary. Our children are not only blessed to have their faith nurtured in the classroom, but they are offered a superior academic experience as well. Our kids are reading far beyond their grade level, gaining knowledge of Spanish and technology, and becoming accomplished in the areas of music and the arts. We are very thankful to have the values we teach at home reinforced at school and to have our kids challenged by such a high standard of academic excellence.”

— Nick and Ashley Walz, Kansas City

“Sending our children to Calvary gives us the confidence that they are in an environment that focuses not only on academics but also on the values that build their character based on Christian values. One of the biggest assets for us is the emphasis placed on reading as it is proven that it increases a child’s vocabulary, strengthens their cognitive skills, and makes them smarter. We also enjoy building relationships with the staff and other parents as we work together to make Calvary a great place for all of our students.”

— Curtis and Margaret Tyler, Kansas City

“We have had such a wonderful experience at Calvary Lutheran. Our daughter has enjoyed every room that she has been in so far, and we are very pleased with the educational growth that she has achieved there. She has grown into a very confident, happy-go-lucky four-year-old, and I attribute a lot of that to the attention and care that she has received from all of her teachers and their assistants. I am due with another daughter in December, and I can’t wait to get her started at Calvary! I am a firm believer that daycare helps children exponentially with their social and intellectual growth, and Calvary Lutheran has been wonderful in helping our child achieve this.”

— Laura Fischer, Lees Summit

“I chose Calvary Lutheran School and an approximately 35-miles-per-day commute for my daughter’s education because of the school’s high academic rating, biblical foundation, and the love shown and given to the children by the teachers and staff. Calvary combines a sense of personal destiny with academic excellence and provides an atmosphere where children can flourish spiritually, intellectually, and physically.”

— Gloria Westley (Calvary parent from 2000-2010), Lees Summit

“In addition to a positive academic environment, the teachers and staff at Calvary provide an enormous amount of support for the students. It has been a joy to see our child instilled with a love for learning while receiving such sincere care.”

— Sean and Amy Slattery, Kansas City

“We have two children that attend Calvary EEC and from the beginning we have been pleased with the staff commitment to our children. Everyone in the building knows our children by name and they are always very positive, outgoing, and supportive. In each classroom we’ve been involved in, there is always planned curriculum for the children to help them learn and interact. We appreciate the communication we get from the instructors about our children’s development and progress on a daily basis. We also enjoy the fact that there are other classes offered to expose our children to a variety of activities (computer class, soccer lessons, etc). Choosing a place for your child to attend is one of the most important decisions a parent can make and we feel very lucky to have found such a great place in Calvary EEC.”

— Brian and Carrie Murray, Prairie Village

“I love Calvary’s sense of community. We have made wonderful friendships that will last.”

— Elektra Hendrickson, Kansas City
